Don't Click links in sketchy texts Messages.

Phishing is a common tactic criminals use to get you to reveal personal data or infect your phone with malware. I have written about this in reagard to email, but the same is true with Text Messages.


If you get a random text with link from someone you don't know, do not click it. It could be someone trying to get information out of you, or worse, malware that can control your phone and send information back to hackers.

A security research company claims to have found a vulnerability baked into Android that could endanger nearly all devices running the popular mobile software. Full article HERE

The flaw, says researcher Zimperium, exists in the media playback tool built into Android, called Stagefright.
